Unknown input observer design for linear time-invariant multivariable systems based on a new observer normal form

In various applications in the field of control engineering, estimation state variables dynamic systems presence unknown inputs plays an important role. Existing methods require so-called observer matching condition to be satisfied, rely on boundedness e or exhibit increased order at least twice plant order. this article, a novel normal form for strongly observable linear time-invariant multivariable is proposed. contrast classical forms, proposed approach also takes into account. The allows straightforward construction higher-order sliding mode observer, which ensures global convergence error within finite time even bounded inputs. Its application not restricted satisfy aforementioned limitations already existing input observers. can exploited reconstruction with derivative and robust state-feedback control, shown by means tutorial example. Numerical simulations confirm effectiveness presented work.
